Come out and join us as Tapestry Dance
Company debuts its beautiful new
12,800 square foot South Austin Arts Facility with one
of the word's biggest tap dance celebrations: The
Seventh Annual Soul to Sole Festival
starting May 30th!
The beautiful raised maple floors in the five new
dance studios will be lovingly initiated by the feet and
souls of international tap artists Dianne Walker
(Boston / Broadway's Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da
Funk), Sarah Petronio (Paris / protoge' &
dance
partner of Jimmy Slyde), Ayodele Casel
(Savion
Glover's NYOT's), Keith Terry (CA -
Crosspulse /
founding member of The Jazz Tap Ensemble),
Jason
Samuels-Smith (NYC / Tap Heat & Imagine Tap),
Nicole Hockenberry (PA / past member of Manhattan
Tap), Katherine Kramer (FL / Rhythm
Explosion),
Barbara Phillips (Third Coast Rhythm Project,
San
Antonio), resident artists Jason Janas and
Tapestry
Artistic Director Acia Gray and over 150
hoofers from
around the world. Join them in this great endeavor by
taking one of
their classes!
"Tappy Hour" on the festival's front end, kicks off
technique and choreography courses, 36 incredible
master classes, informal tap jams, archival film
showings, and artist panel discussions within this
wonderful rhythmic event....and you don't want to
